The Best Way to steam peas

Steaming peas is super easy! Here's how to do it:

  1. Fill a pot with about 1 inch of water
  2. Put a steamer basket in the pot (make sure the water doesn't touch the bottom of the basket)
  3. Bring the water to a boil
  4. Put your peas in the steamer basket
  5. Cover the pot with a lid
  6. Steam for 2-3 minutes until the peas are bright green and tender
  7. Test one to make sure they're done - they should be slightly crispy, not mushy

Pro Tips:

  • Don't overcook! Mushy peas are no fun 😝
  • You can add a pinch of salt to the water if you want
  • Fresh peas take 2-3 minutes, frozen ones might need 3-4 minutes
