The Best Way to saute mushrooms
Hey there! Want to learn how to make amazing sautéed mushrooms? Here's the easiest way to do it:
- Clean your mushrooms with a paper towel (don't wash them with water - they'll get soggy!)
- Cut mushrooms into even-sized pieces (about 1/4 inch thick)
- Heat a large pan on medium-high heat
- Add 2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil
- Put mushrooms in the pan in a single layer - don't crowd them!
- Don't touch them for 4-5 minutes (this is super important!)
- Flip them over and cook another 3-4 minutes
- Add a pinch of salt and some garlic if you want
Pro Tips:
- Don't move the mushrooms around too much - this helps them get golden brown
- Cook in batches if you have too many mushrooms
- Higher heat is better than lower heat
