The Best Way to saute mushrooms

Hey there! Want to learn how to make amazing sautéed mushrooms? Here's the easiest way to do it:

  1. Clean your mushrooms with a paper towel (don't wash them with water - they'll get soggy!)
  2. Cut mushrooms into even-sized pieces (about 1/4 inch thick)
  3. Heat a large pan on medium-high heat
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil
  5. Put mushrooms in the pan in a single layer - don't crowd them!
  6. Don't touch them for 4-5 minutes (this is super important!)
  7. Flip them over and cook another 3-4 minutes
  8. Add a pinch of salt and some garlic if you want

Pro Tips:

  • Don't move the mushrooms around too much - this helps them get golden brown
  • Cook in batches if you have too many mushrooms
  • Higher heat is better than lower heat
