The Best Way to project voice
Want to be heard clearly when speaking? Here are the best ways to make your voice stronger:
- Stand up straight with your shoulders back. Good posture helps your voice come out stronger.
- Breathe from your belly, not your chest. Put your hand on your stomach - it should push out when you breathe in.
- Open your mouth wider when you speak. Think about dropping your jaw slightly more than usual.
- Speak from your diaphragm (the muscle below your lungs). Imagine your voice coming from your stomach area, not your throat.
- Practice by reading out loud for 5-10 minutes daily. Try to reach the back of the room with your voice.
Quick Tip:
Test your voice projection by standing about 20 feet from a wall and speaking toward it. If you can hear your voice bouncing back, you're projecting well!
