The Best Way to practice gratitude
Want to feel happier and more positive? Practicing gratitude is like giving your brain a happiness boost! Here are some super easy ways to get started:
- Keep a Gratitude Journal - Take 5 minutes before bed to write down 3 good things that happened today. They can be as simple as 'my mom made my favorite breakfast' or 'I got a good grade on my test.'
- Send Thank You Texts - Pick one person each day and send them a quick message telling them why you're grateful for them. It'll make their day and yours!
- Do the Photo Challenge - Take one photo each day of something you're thankful for. It can be your pet, your favorite snack, or even just the sunny weather.
- Gratitude Jar - Keep a jar in your room and drop in little notes about good things that happen. On tough days, pull out a few notes to remind yourself of the positive stuff.
Studies show that people who practice gratitude regularly are:
- Happier
- Less stressed
- More optimistic
- Better at dealing with challenges
