What You'll Need:
- 1 (15 oz) can of chickpeas (also called garbanzo beans)
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- Paprika for sprinkling on top
Steps:
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas
- Put everything except the water in a food processor
- Blend until smooth (about 1 minute)
- Add water slowly while blending until you get the perfect creamy texture
- Taste and add more salt if needed
Pro Tip: For super smooth hummus, pop the skins off the chickpeas first. It takes a few minutes but makes it extra creamy!
