Making awesome mac and cheese is super easy! Here's the best way to do it:
- Boil 8 oz of elbow macaroni in salted water until al dente (about 8 minutes)
- While pasta cooks, melt 3 tablespoons butter in a pot
- Stir in 3 tablespoons flour to make a paste
- Slowly pour in 2 cups of warm milk while stirring
- Add 2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar works great!)
- Season with salt and pepper
- Mix in the drained pasta
Pro Tips:
- Use freshly grated cheese - it melts better than pre-shredded
- Don't overcook the pasta - nobody likes mushy mac!
- Add a pinch of paprika for extra flavor
