The Best Way to grill turkey

Hey there! Want to make an awesome grilled turkey? Here's how to do it without getting stressed:

  1. Get a turkey that's about 12-14 pounds (bigger ones are harder to grill)
  2. Thaw it completely in your fridge (usually takes 3-4 days)
  3. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels
  4. Season it with salt and pepper inside and out
  5. Heat your grill to medium (around 350°F)
  6. Put a drip pan under where the turkey will go
  7. Place turkey on the grill over indirect heat (this means not directly over the flames)
  8. Close the lid and cook for about 2-3 hours
  9. Check temperature with a meat thermometer - it should read 165°F in the thickest part of the thigh

Pro Tips:

  • Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with melted butter to keep it juicy
  • Let it rest for 20-30 minutes before cutting
  • If the skin gets too dark, cover with aluminum foil
