The Best Way to cook scallops
Want to cook amazing scallops? Here's the easiest way to do it!
- Pat your scallops dry with paper towels. This is super important!
- Season both sides with just salt and pepper
- Get a pan really hot (like medium-high heat) with a little butter and oil
- Place scallops in the pan and DON'T TOUCH THEM for 2-3 minutes
- Flip them over when they're golden brown on the bottom
- Cook another 1-2 minutes until they're slightly firm
Pro Tips:
- Don't overcook them - they should still be a little translucent in the middle
- Don't crowd the pan - leave space between each scallop
- If you see white liquid (milk) coming out of them, they're overcooked!
