The Best Way to brew mead
Mead is basically honey wine, and it's pretty cool to make! Here's how you can make it:
What You'll Need:
- 3 pounds of honey
- 1 gallon of spring water
- 1 packet of wine yeast
- 1 gallon glass jug (called a carboy)
- Airlock and stopper
- Sanitizer
Steps:
- Clean everything super well with sanitizer
- Heat water to warm (not boiling)
- Mix in honey until it dissolves
- Let it cool to room temperature
- Add yeast
- Pour into your glass jug
- Put on airlock and stopper
- Wait 2-3 weeks minimum
Important: Make sure an adult supervises since this makes alcohol!
